Hyacinth's Pen

My heart’s desire is to use my ‘pen’ to share my poetry and writing to empower and encourage you, my readers. My first book, Contemporary Psalms, is filled with messages of faith, hope, courage, and love, which has helped me grow and I hope you experience the same. Writing, like so many God-given gifts and talents, has challenged me do my best and trust God to do the rest. I share my life experiences in poetry and prose because as I shared them with family, friends, and acquaintances, they proved uplifting and inspirational. They encouraged me to make them available and so was born, Contemporary Psalms. My overarching goals are to glorify God through my penmanship and to share with my readers what I have learned as I  navigate the hurdles through the maze of life.

My second book is continuing to share foundational lessons from my life based on the fundamental values which are a legacy from my parents. Throughout my writing the written word of God is my standard.

While 'wearing many hats,' as the toastmaster would often say, I have learned the value of service to others and experienced the joy that exemplifies the Bible verse, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ Acts 20:35
