The Miracle Journey

Updated: May 30, 2020

Psa. 62: " My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from Him." KJV

"Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from Him." NIV

What is a miracle?

The Oxford Dictionary defines it as, "an extraordinary event attributed to some supernatural agency; any remarkable occurrence; a remarkable development in some specified area (an economic miracle); a remarkable specimen (a miracle of ingenuity).

Norman V. Peale describes a miracle as, 'some great and wonderful quality that can be brought to pass.'

As I pondered the above and read through Mr. Peale's booklet on miracles, Expect Miracles, Make Miracles Happen, I found myself looking more closely at this principle and thinking of you my dears as you travel this passage called life. So today I am sharing this with you in the hope that it will help guide and encourage you today and onwards.

* Have tremendous faith, faith like a child that rises above doubt; that stands firm in the face of impossibilities. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight." (Prov. 3:5,6). Have a faith that is unshaken by the 'reality checks' of unbelief. Train yourself to have and practice a depth of faith that rises above that ever-present doubt, both within and without. The daily exercise of communion with God through His word is a vital part of that training. You will become a believer that can take hold of life with a profound authority that comes from the knowledge that your faith rests in the Most High God. Your deep faith will give you the ability to face any difficulty and conquer it. Stand with the God of miracles in impossible situations. Sing praises to Him when you feel like crying, when you feel like giving up. Strengthen your faith and you will see miracles happening - you will experience miracles.

** Move from the focus on the wrongness to that of the rightness in any situation. Look for God's hand in every situation. That is, stop believing in the domination of the wrongness starting in your head, accepting and using wrong psychology. If everyone around you believe something contrary to God's word, this can never produce rightness. Become right within yourself because of God's presence with you, so you can experience miracles. Remember your hope is in the Lord. "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." Phil. 4:6.

*** Make miracles happen by believing in God, truly, undoubtedly deeply believing in the awesome God, our creator, who made you. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and His remarkable gifts, His sacrificial love. Believe in yourself and Gods description of you. "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made..." Psa. 139: 14a.

*** Know that you are your own worst enemy. If you think wrong, you will act wrong and things will go wrong. See yourself as a child of God. See the possibilities that God has provided. Get organized, let God lead, knowing that with God in the lead you can't go wrong. Get aboard the spiritual power that God has made available to you - to produce a radiant, tremendous, victorious you! You not only experience miracles but must be constantly aware that you are a miracle yourself. Have you encouraged that miracle to shine lately? Have you put the miracle principle into action (great and wonderful qualities that can be brought to pass), to become the great person you have the potential to be?

**** Knowing that you are packed full of miracles put there by the one who created you, the God who knows you better than anyone else on earth, you have more potential than you think you have. "Your works are wonderful, I know that full well." Psa. 139:14b. Our awesome God, our Beloved Creator. He made you! Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. Psa.37:4. Your loving God has created you with miracle potential built into your DNA. Go forth and live, live the miracle He created you to live, to become. You are a child of God and as you follow His will you can experience a life full of miracles. You are packed full of miracles so live each day with expectant joy.

God bless and strengthen you, my gifted ones.

Love unending, from the pen and heart of Mom.
